The Israeli Cartoon Museum, Holon
The only Cartoon Museum in Israel!

Exhibitions

Main

The Israeli Cartoon Museum, the first of its kind in Israel, was founded as a non-profit organization in 2007, as a cooperation between the city of Holon and the Israeli Cartoonist Association (AKI).
In the years since its first show, the museum has housed more than 50 exhibitions on various themes, presenting, among other topics, local Israeli cartoonists and the work of leading creators in the field such as the late Joe Kubert.
More than 20,000 children, families, students, tourists and adults visit the museum on average every year
Alongside preservation, research and archive, one of our missions is to expose and spread to the wider audience the importance and magic in the art and history of comics, through professional and extensive exhibitions and publications.
We have many different educational programs, including regular school tours, afternoon activities for visitors, recurring artist master classes, workshops and more. The museum also actively encourages and supports academic research of cartoons, caricatures and comics in Israeli visual culture, as a way of analyzing Israeli society and culture.
