Kfar-Saba Museum

Exhibitions

Main

In the Kfar Saba Archaeological Museum you will be able to explore ancient periods in Kfar Saba and its surroundings, and experiment in different crafts from the past.
The museum takes part in preserving remnants of the old Moshava of Kfar Saba, and conservation of historical monuments in town. We offer guided tours, different activities and plays.
Our exhibition is comprised of archaeological findings, photographs and illustrations, maps and explanatory notes. This exhibition is chronological; starting from Prehistory and ending with the Turkish period. The exhibition also includes a fascinating audiovisual presentation that takes the viewer on a journey through time.

In our Mosaic Yard we present different segments of mosaic floors that were excavated from different areas in the vicinity of Kfar Saba. Some of the pieces are original and some are replicas. One of the more impressive mosaic floors presented here, was found in an ancient synagogue from the Talmudic period, and mentions the settlement Kfar Saba.

The museum also conducts an excavation and reconstruction project in the old Tel of Kfar Saba (The Hadarim neighborhood), where we also recapture the arts of producing olive oil and wine.
